1. Dynamic Pricing Changes Rates in Real Time

Hotels don't set a fixed price and leave it. They use dynamic pricing algorithms — the same concept airlines use — to adjust rates based on demand, remaining inventory, and how close the check-in date is.

That means the price on Expedia at 9am might be different from the price on Booking.com at 2pm, even for the same room. And if you search again tomorrow, both numbers might have shifted. The rate you see isn't a stable price — it's a snapshot of a constantly moving target.

2. Each Booking Platform Negotiates Different Deals
